The St. Thomas Aquinas College Track and Field team continued their indoor season at the Fastrack National Invitational on Friday. The event, held at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex on Staten Island, showcased some the top talents both on the collegiate level and the international circuit.

Headlining the stellar Spartan performances during the competition were; Lavonno Mitchell's second place finish in the 200 meter dash in a time of 22.40, DeAndre Smith's second place finish in the High Jump with a leap of 2.04 meters (6'8.25'), Dante Brown's second place finish in the Long Jump with a leap of 7.23 meters (23'8.75") and Abagaile Kimbrell's fifth place finish in the 3000 Meter Run in a time of 10:17.06.

The Spartans now begin preparations for the 2020 East Coast Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships, which take place on Saturday, March 22nd at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex. Events begin at 5pm.
