16 athletes from the St. Thomas Aquinas College Track & Field team racked up 23 All-Conference honors at the East Coast Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships. The first and second team honors added to a successful night in which the men's team finished third and the women's team fifth.
Junior Dante Brown led the way for the men's squad, garnering ECC Indoor Track & Field Athlete of the Year honors for the first time in his career, along with three First Team All-Conference awards. Meanwhile, junior Christina Maretzo and senior Laura Herbes led the women's squad with two All-Conference awards each (1 first team, 1 second team respectively).
Brown was also selected as the ECC Men's Indoor Championship Most Outstanding Athlete. Brown contributed 28 points to the Spartans' finish. He won both the 60 Meter Dash (6.91) and the Long Jump (7.29m) and finished second in the 200 Meter Dash (21.94). Additionally, his Long Jump mark was a new meet record.
