The St. Thomas Aquinas College Track and Field team kicked-off its 2019-20 indoor campaign at The College of New Jersey Winter Opener within the friendly confines of the 168th Street Armory in New York City.

The Spartans competed against athletes from several schools such as Manhattanville College, Stevens Institute of Technology, University of Delaware, Ramapo College and Columbia University.

Headlining the performances were Dante Brown's second place finish in the Long Jump with a jump of 7.29m/23'11", Lugduni DesRosiers' second place finish in the 400 Meter Dash in a time of 52:15 and Abagaile Kimbrell's second place finish in the 5000 Meter Run in a time of 19:17.44.

The competition was the first of two meets for the Spartans during the month of December. The team will return to action at the Wagner College Shootout on Friday, December 13. Events begin at 2pm at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex in Staten Island, NY.
