Miami Gardens, Fla. - The St. Thomas Aquinas College Track & Field program participated in the St. Thomas University 8-Way Meet on Friday at Monsignor Edward Pace High School.

On the day, the STAC men scored a first place victory, while the Spartan women took home a second place finish.

Headlining the outstanding performances are Linise Greene who was a triple winner, finishing first in the 100 Meter Dash (13.30), the 200 Meter Dash (26.24) and the 4x400 Meter Relay (4:19.67), along with teammates Skylar Moreno, Christina Maretzo and Ruby Pekin-Schlicht.

On the men's side of the ledger, Emmanuel Mena-Jimenez picked up victories in both weight events, the Shot Put (13.45 meters) and Discus (46.54 meters), while Matt Tina scored a win in the 3000 Meter Run (9:21.16) and DeAndre Smith was triumphant in the High Jump (2.05 meters).

STAC heads back to New York after its week-long Sunshine State tour and will next compete at the Lafayette University Open on March 26 in Easton, Pa.
