STAC Track & Field Competes At Rutgers University Scarlet Knights Open

New York, N.Y. - The St. Thomas Aquinas College Track and Field team continued its 2022-23 campaign at the Rutgers University Scarlet Knights Open within the friendly confines of the 168th Street Armory on Friday and Saturday.

The Spartans faced off against athletes from several Division I, II and III institutions, including: Delaware State, Fairfield, Lehigh, Molloy, Monmouth, NJIT, Penn, Princeton, Rider, Rutgers, Stony Brook, TCNJ, Temple, Villanova and Wagner.

Headlining the strong performances for the Spartans were Ryan Folmer's seventh place finish in the Long Jump, with a leap of 6.82m (22'4.5") and Nicole Gysin's 60 Meter Hurdles (Unseeded College) fourth place finish in a time of 10.10

STAC returns to action at the Fasttrack Invitational on Friday, February 10. Events get underway at 1:00 p.m. at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex on Staten Island.

60 Meter Dash (Unseeded College): Akeem Howell - 7.34 (17th Place)

High Jump: Jayden Bennermon - 1.89m/6'2.25" (11th Place)

Long Jump: Ryan Folmer - 6.82m/22'4.5" (7th Place), Leelan Maxwell - 6.75m/22'1.75m (10th Place)

Women's Events

60 Meter Hurdles (Unseeded College): Nicole Gysin - 10.10 (4th Place)
