Ewing, N.J. - The St. Thomas Aquinas College Men's and Women's Track & Field teams continued their spectacular spring season on Friday and Saturday at The College of New Jersey Invitational.
Headlining the outstanding performances for the Spartans are Jayden Bennermon's second place finish in the High Jump, with a leap of 1.91m/6'3.25", Emmanuel Mena Jimenez's victory in the Hammer Throw with a toss of 53.18m/174'6" and his second place finish in the Discus with a throw of 52.89m/173'6", which sets both an NCAA Division II Championship Provisional Mark and a new school record.
On the women's side of the ledger, Gabriella Mott took third place in the 5000 Meter Run, crossing the finish line in a time of 19:15.52.
STAC next competes in the East Stroudsburg University All-American Meet on Friday, April 21 (10:00 a.m.) at Gregory-Douds Field at Eiler-Martin Stadium in East Stroudsburg, Pa.
