STAC Track & Field Competes in Prestigious Penn Relays
Philadelphia, Pa. - On Thursday and Friday, the St. Thomas Aquinas College Track & Field program participated in the 2024 Penn Relays at the historic Franklin Field. The Spartans sent its best and brightest stars to the City of Brotherly Love for field events over two days in Philadelphia.
 
Among the outstanding performances for the maroon and gold were the top 10 finishes of Emmanuel Mena Jimenez, who finished third, hit the NCAA Division II Provisional Mark and set a new school record in the Hammer Throw with a toss of 59.18m (194'2"), and fourth in the Discus with a throw of 52.11m (170'11"), and Jayden Bennermon, who placed seventh in the High Jump with a leap of 2.01m (6'7").
 
STAC returns to action on Thursday, May 2 (9:00 a.m.) at the East Coast Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships. The postseason meet is hosted by Roberts Wesleyan University on the Redhawks campus in Rochester, N.Y.
