Mena Jimenez Places Ninth in Hammer Throw Event at NCAA Outdoor Championships, Earns All-American Accolades

Pueblo, Colo. - St. Thomas Aquinas College Men's Track & Field star, Emmanuel Mena Jimenez competed in the first of two events in the NCAA Division II Outdoor Championships on Thursday afternoon at the CSU Pueblo Thunderbowl in Colorado.

In the fifth, and final, NCAA Division II National Championship meet of his collegiate career, Mena Jimenez (Gr.|West Haverstraw, N.Y.) placed ninth in the Hammer Throw event with a toss of 59.94 meters or 196 feet, 8 inches.

In addition to his day of competition, Manny made news outside of the cage, as he was named a United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Second Team All-American selection.

Mena Jimenez wraps up his collegiate hammer throw career, winning the event four times in seven opportunities during 2025, including the gold medal at the ECC Outdoor Track & Field Championships.

As a result of his outstanding campaign, Manny was also named USTFCCCA All-East Region and East Coast Conference All-Conference selections. Additionally, he earned ECC Men's Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week accolades on three occasions (April 1, 15, 22) and was tabbed as a 2025 ECC Outdoor Track and Field Male Athlete of the Year.
