St. Thomas Aquinas College Women's Basketball player Ruth Adams was named the East Coast Conference Player of the Week on Monday, following the Spartans 2-0 week on the hardwood.
Adams averaged 25.5 points and 11.0 rebounds in two games last week. Adams recorded a double-double scoring 27 points and grabbing 15 rebounds in STAC’s road win at the University of Bridgeport. She followed that performance with 24 points, including scoring her 1,000th career point against the University of the District of Columbia. Adams finished the week with 22 rebounds, three assists, two blocks, and a steal.
St. Thomas Aquinas (21-6) has earned a first round bye in the upcoming East Coast Conference Women's Basketball Tournament. The #1 seeded Spartans will take on the winner of the quarterfinal matchup between #4 Molloy College and #5 Roberts Wesleyan College in the semifinal round on Saturday, March 7th at the UDC Sports Complex in Washington, D.C. Tip-off is scheduled for 12pm.
