Women's Bowling Puts Together Strong Showing At Suffolk and Westchester Community College Tournaments

Babylon, N.Y. & Fishkill, N.Y. - The St. Thomas Aquinas College Women's Bowling team had a very busy weekend of competition, with the Spartans first taking part in the Suffolk Community College Tournament on Saturday, before heading back to the lanes on Sunday for the Westchester Community College Shoot Out.

In the Suffolk C.C. Tourney at AMF Babylon Lanes, Ashley Sena (Fr./Garnerville, N.Y.) rolled a 651 series and a 279 high game, while Megan Dobrinski (Jr. Sloatsburg, N.Y.) bowled a 585 series with a 210 high game. As a team, STAC totaled 5597 pins which earned them a second place finish.

The next day, the Spartans traveled to Schneider's Fishkill Bowl for the Westchester C.C. Shoot Out, where they posted a third place team finish with a total pinfall of 4134. Megan Dobrinski shined once again for St. Thomas Aquinas, placing fourth in overall average and earning a spot on the All-Tournament Team.

STAC returns to action on Saturday, February 19 as they compete in the Westchester Community College Metro Classic, which will take place at AMF Babylon Lanes in Babylon, NY.
