The St. Thomas Aquinas women's lacrosse team lost to Mercy College, 17-3 on Saturday afternoon.  The Spartans received goals from Danielle Cajou, Caroline Finnen and Caitlin Verber.  

The Mavericks controlled the first half outscoring the Spartans 13-0.  Grace Davidson scored four first half goals for the visitors.  Katherine Sanchez added four goals and two assists for Mercy for the game.  STAC scored the final three goals of the game.  Kaitlyn Gutenberger added an assits on Finnen's goal.  Katherine Feigenbaum had three saves in the loss in goal.  

Mercy beat the Spartans 34-11 in shots and 25-11 in ground balls.  The Spartans will return to action on Thursday when they travel to New Haven for a 7:00 p.m. game.
