The St. Thomas Aquinas women's lacrosse team fell to LIU Post, 18-2 on Wednesday afternoon. Kaitlyn Gutenberger and Caroline Finnen each scored for the Spartans.

The Pioneers were lead by Brianna Feldman (5 goals) and Trish Biscotti (4 goals and 1 assist).  LIU Post held a 12-0 lead at the half with five different goal scorers in the first half and eight different scorers for the game.  The Pioneers held a 27-18 shots advantage over the Spartans.  The Spartans held a 12-10 lead in draw controls.  Gutenberger scored at the 18:58 mark in the second half and Finnen scored the final goal of the game at 4:05.

Laura Delorenzo had five saves in goal for the Spartans, picking up the loss.  The Pioneers move to 9-3 overall and 5-0 in ECC play with the win while the Spartans fall to 4-8 overall and 1-5 in ECC play.   The Spartans will return to action on Saturday when they travel to Bridgeport for a 1:00 p.m. game.
