The St. Thomas Aquinas women's lacrosse team beat Nyack, 16-8 on Wednesday afternoon. Gabrielle Di Fusco and Kaitlyn Gutenberger scored 5 and 4 goals respectively.  

The Spartans got on the scoreboard first with a goal from Emily Glennon off an assist from Jennifer Farrell.  Farrell added two goal shortly after giving the Spartans a 4-1 lead.  STAC saw five different goal scorers including freshmen Leanna Iobbi who added a goal and an assist as the Spartans took a 7-5 lead at the break.  

DiFusco scored four of her five goals in the second half as the Spartans outscored Nyack 9-3.  Katherine Feigenbaum recorded 13 saves in the win.  The Spartans had 36 shots to the Warriors 28.  STAC will return to action on Saturday when they travel to LIU Post for an 11:00 am game.
