Kaitlyn Gutenberger tallied six goals, while Arielle Rodriguez recorded a hat trick and Leanna Iobbi scored twice for the St. Thomas Aquinas College Spartans in a 13-8 victory over the College of Saint Rose on Sunday afternoon at Spartan Field in Sparkill, NY

Lisa Larsson and Casey Hannon also scored a goal each, and Laura Delorenzo made 15 saves to pick up the win and run her record to 2-0 on the season.

Playing their first-ever women's lacrosse contest in school history, the visiting Golden Knights put forth a hard-fought effort, picking up two goals each from Deanna Cilento, Samantha Ebel and Gabrielle Panko. Payton O'Hara and Emilie Robbins also contributed to the scoring, while Madeline Yeung stopped 14 of 27 shots faced.

Shots for the game were 38 (27 on goal) for St. Thomas Aquinas and 30 (23 on goal) for Saint Rose.

The Spartans (2-0) take on Post University (CT) on Tuesday, February 25th at Spartan Field, with the opening draw set for 3pm.
