Albany, N.Y. – The St. Thomas Aquinas College Women's Lacrosse team fell to the College of Saint Rose, 17-3, Saturday afternoon at Sullivan Field. The Spartans moved to 1-4 overall, while the Golden Knights improved to 4-1.
How it Happened
- Saint Rose tallied the first nine goals of the contest, spanning 21 minutes of action between the first and second quarters.
- Senior Leanna Iobbi broke the shutout with her first of the day to make it 9-1.
- The Golden Knights picked a pair of goals to close the first half, giving the hosts a commanding 11-1 advantage at halftime.
- Down ten following the break, Leanna Iobbi immediate struck for her second of the day to open the third quarter, making it 11-2.
- The home team tallied two additional goals in the frame, with an Iobbi goal sandwiched in between to give Saint Rose the 13-3 margin on the scoreboard. For Iobbi, its was her third of the game and 18th goal of the season.
- Saint Rose closed out the scoring with four-fourth quarter goals to take the 17-3 victory.

- Leanna Iobbi tallied three goals on the afternoon for the Spartans.
- Goalie Colleen Stevens (L, 1-4) stopped 12 of 29 shots faced in the cage and picked up a team-high four ground balls.
- Hailey Galison, Julia Reggio, Leanna Iobbi and Casey Hannon registered two ground balls apiece.
