STAC Women's Soccer Grinds Out 0-0 Tie with Felician

The St. Thomas Aquinas College women's soccer team battled to a 0-0 tie against Felician University at Spartan Field. The Lady Spartans are now 1-1-1 on the season, while Felician stands at 0-2-1.

Both teams did have scoring chances, with Courtney Dumain making a beautiful diving save in the STAC net in the first half, and Felician's Jamie Kazenmayer making an equally-splendid save to preserve the tie in overtime. The Lady Spartans had a narrow edge in shots in the game, which saw several momentum swings, with the hosts finishing with an 18-11 advantage. Fittingly, both Dumain and Kazenmayer made seven saves each to record their first shoutout of the season.

The Lady Spartans will now enjoy a break before returning to action on Saturday, September 16, hosting Daemen College for their East Coast Conference opener at Spartan Field at 11:00 am. The game will be the front end of a double-header, followed by the men's teams squaring off.
