The St. Thomas Aquinas College women's soccer team closed out the 2018 season with a 5-0 victory over Concordia College in a non-conference contest at Spartan Field. The Lady Spartans wrap up the season over .500 for the first time in program history and set a season record for victories with a 9-6-1 overall mark, with Concordia closing out at 2-13.

STAC jumped out quickly as Victoria DeMarco's shot from 30 yards out was perfectly placed in the top corner after just 3:13 of action. Kelsey Ardizzone completed a perfect pass from Mekenzi Moreau to open a 2-0 gap at exactly the 10:00 mark. The Lady Spartans continued to press but were denied by several outstanding saves from Clippers goalkeeper Sophia Cogan, keeping the contest within reach despite an 11-1 advantage in shots for the hosts.

In the second half, St. Thomas Aquinas secured the victory when Courtney Dumain - who started the game in goal and moved to forward at halftime - sent a nice touch to Moreau, who converted her fifth of the season at 62:04. Jackie Kaplan hit the mark for her first collegiate tally at 73:49, on assists from Syliva Jaeske and Dumain, to make the margin 4-0. Dumain added her third assist of the game on perhaps the prettiest goal of the afternoon, as reserve netminder Sarah Colotti's punt found Moreau at midfield. That touched off a pretty give-and-go with Dumain, with Ardizzone being the recipient for her second of the game to close out the scoring at 85:31.

Adding to her three assists, Dumain was credited with her ninth win of the season despite not having to record a save, while Colotti turned aside two Concordia shots in the second half. Cogan made 10 saves for Concordia, which was outshot by a final 18-9 total.
