The St. Thomas Aquinas College women's soccer team soared to a 9-1 victory in an East Coast Conference game at Lincoln University. The Spartans are now 1-10-1 overall on the season and 1-4-1 in the ECC, with Lincoln slipping to 1-9, 0-5.

After struggling for goals throughout the season thus far, the Spartans hit the net early and often in crusing to their first win of the year. Katarina Ott's steal led to Mekenzie Moreau's goal at 9:15 to open the scoring. Just 1:17 later, Julianna Hanigan sent a cross to Colette Martucci to open a 2-0 lead. Victoria DeMarco, Amanda Fuchs-White, and Maya LaFleur converted in short order - with Moreau adding two assists - and the visitors were on top by a 5-0 count after just 26 minutes of play.

Though Lincoln got on the board in the final minutes of the half, STAC continued the barrage after the break, as Corinne Kelly, Fiona Donohue, Alexandra Squillaro, and Hanigan added to the goal parade as the Spartans recorded their highest goal total since a 10-0 win over Washington Adventist on September 14, 2014. St. Thomas Aquinas dominated the shots to the tune of a 44-5 margin, as Colleen Stevens picked up the win in net.

The Spartans travel to Bloomfield for a non-conference tilt on Wednesday, October 23, before returing to Spartan Field to host Queens in an ECC battle starting at 11:00 am on Saturday, October 26.
