Second Half Tally Stops STAC in 1-0 Loss at Pace

The St. Thomas Aquinas College women's soccer team fell to a 1-0 defeat in a non-conference contest at Pace University. The Spartans are now 2-12-2 on the season with Pace standing at 11-6-1.

Coming off Saturday's convincing 4-0 victory over Nyack, the Spartans came out with confidence against the tough Pace squad, battling to a scoreless deadlock through 45 minutes while keeping the shots to a 6-4 margin. The second half was just as even, but Grace Incledon provided the difference-maker for the hosts, hitting the net at 62:04 for the game's lone tally.

STAC was outshot by a narrow 10-8 margin overall, with Colleen Stevens making three saves in taking the tough loss in net.

The Spartans wrap up the 2019 campaign with an East Coast Conference battle against Daemen College on Saturday, November 9, with game time set for approximately 12:00 noon at Spartan Field, following the men's contest at 10:00 am.
