Women's Soccer Falls to Franklin Pierce 5-0 in 2021 Season Opener

Sparkill, N.Y. - The St. Thomas Aquinas College Women's Soccer team fell 5-0 to Franklin Pierce University on Saturday afternoon at Spartan Field in Sparkill, as the Spartans opened their 2021 season.
 
Franklin Pierce scored the lone goal of the first half, as Tess McKenzie found the back of the net with just about 10 minutes remaining in the opening frame. Second half goals by Jasmine Perez, Viridiana Vazquez Kloss and Hailey Goodman (2) helped cement the Ravens second win in just under 24 hours.

The visiting Ravens held a 25-6 shots advantage on the day.
 
St. Thomas Aquinas had four shots on goal for the contest, with two of those coming off of the foot of team captain Caitlin Speranza.

Franklin Pierce goalkeepers Gabby Calidonio (W, 2-0) and Emilie Fox combined to make four stops, while on the other end of the field, STAC netminder Colleen Stevens (L, 0-1) had 16 saves.
