Women's Tennis Wins Seventh Straight, Blanking Chestnut Hill 7-0

Philadelphia, Pa. - The St. Thomas Aquinas College Women's Tennis team won its seventh straight contest, blanking Chestnut Hill College, 7-0 on Monday in non-conference action.

The Spartans got off to a great start during doubles, sweeping the three matchups. Ebba Rosberg and Samanta Villegas Robles won on court one by a score of 6-1, while Paula Palero and Eliza Mulder posted a strong score in the second slot, beating their opponents, 6-4. Elita Silins and Giovanna Jallas rounded out doubles play winning by default at No. 3.
 
STAC battled during singles play, winning all six matchups. Eliza Mulder led off for STAC in No. 6 singles, clinching her matchup by default. Paula Palero had another great performance in singles, defeating her opponent; 6-1, 6-0. Ebba Rosberg clinched the team victory for the Spartans, winning the top slot by a score of 6-2, 6-2. Viktoriia Pavlovets (6-2, 4-6, 1-0 (4)), Elita Silins (6-0, 6-1) and Samanta Villegas Robles (6-2, 6-3) also posted wins in their singles matches.
