The St. Thomas Aquinas College Women's Triathlon team kicked off their 2019 season this past weekend at the Hartford Marathon Foundation Women's Triathlon in Farmington, CT. Strong performances by the Spartans in the 1/2 mile swim, 12 mile bike and 3.1 mile run capped an outstanding day, as all STAC participants came home with exemplary times in the water, on the bike and on the run.
Junior Mary Dristle finshed in a time 1:25.38, which placed her third in her age group and 12th overall. Additionally, Senior Tyiana Nunez had a great day in the water and on the bike, taking three minutes off of her personal best. Sylvie Bischoff also had a stellar day in the water with a strong swim performance.
The Spartans will next be in action on Saturday, September 14th at 7th Annual TYathlon Triathlon in Mahopac, NY.
