The St. Thomas Aquinas College Women's Triathlon team returned to action this past Saturday, as they competed at the 7th Annual TYathlon Triathlon in Mahopac NY.

Outstanding performances all around for the Spartan squad, including sophomore Kristie Hanlon, who finished first overall in the women's division with a time of 1:01.30. Hanlon improved her time in all aspects of the race, and she specifically had a very strong bike and run on the day. Behind her, senior Tyiana Nunez had successful day on the course gaining a twenty minute personal best and crossed the finish line seventh overall, along with teammate Stefania Georgiou, who also finished in a time of 1:10.00. Junior Jadyn Vargas also set a new personal best on the day in the run portion of the event, dropping her time 15 mins from last year, finishing the race in a time of 1:19.30.
