Bateman, Chegwidden and Galonski Named Cross Country All-Acadmic Honorees

Juniors Keeley Bateman and Michael Galonski and sophomore Joseph Chegwidden have been named All-Academic selections by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.

Bateman, a three time honoree is an elementary eduaction major.  She led the women's team to their second conference champioship in three years.  Bateman is also a three time First Team All-Conference runner.

Both Galonski and Chegwidden are graphic arts majors receiveing the award for the second consecutive year.  They helped the men's squad to a school best 11th place finish at the NCAA DII East Regional. Both have all been All-Conference selections.

To qualify for the USTFCCCA All-Academic Track and Field Team in Division II, the student-athlete must have compiled a cumulative grade point average of 3.25 or greater through the most-recent semester, completed at least 12 credit hours in the semester of cross country competition, and placed in the top 50 percent at the most recent NCAA National Championships or in the top 30 percent at the NCAA Regional Championships.
