Women's Cross Country Ranked 4th in East Region

The Spartan cross country team moved up three place in the USTFCCCA East Region Poll following their 2nd place finish at the Fordham Fiasco/Ed Joyce Memorial.  The team, which was ranked 7th in the preseason poll was led by redshirt junior Meaghan Ventarola.

Venatrola finished in 11th place in a time of 20:43, with sophomore Kristen Borriello one step behind her.  Junior Katie O'Grady was next for the Spartans clocking a time of 21:47 which was good for 21st place.  Classmate Patricia Nersten (21:52) made a strong move into scoring position for STAC.  Seniors Gabriela Sloezen and Cecelia Pfleging came in at 21:57 and 21:58 respectively.  

The team will return to action on Saturday at the LIU Post Invitational in Brookville, NY.
