St. Thomas Aquinas College Cross Country runner Abagaile Kimbrell was named a USTFCCCA All-East Region honoree on Monday afternoon by the coaches association.
A total of 200 men from 80 different programs and 200 women from 95 different programs earned the distinction of All-Region by virtue of a top-25 of the field at one of the eight regional sites this past weekend. Only athletes from USTFCCCA member programs are eligible for this honor.
Kimbrell has had a most impressive fall campaign, finishing in the top 5 in five of seven events competed in, with a first place finish at the St. Joseph's College Golden Eagle Invitational back on October 12th.
Most recently, Abagaile qualified to compete in the upcoming NCAA Division II National Championships, which take place on November 23rd in Sacramento, California. Kimbrell was selected to represent St. Thomas Aquinas College as an individual competitor by virtue of her 10th place overall ranking at the regional race.
