STAC Cross Country Squads Record Stellar Performances at Fred Pavlich Invitational

On Saturday, the St. Thomas Aquinas Cross Country program competed at the Bard College Fred Pavlich Invitational. Both squads finished first among the field of Division II competitors participating in the respective races in Annandale-on-Hudson, NY. The men's team took 3rd overall, with the women finishing 4th overall on the day.

For the men, Aidan Russell was the top finisher on the day with a time of 27:25.4 (18th place). Following Russell in order of finish were: Zach Faljean (27:49.8), Daniel Agostinho-Vides (28:00.5), Kyle Kondracki (28:04.7), Matt Tina (28:09.5), Hugh Durcan (29:50.6), Jack Terry-Kantor (30:11.6), Nicholas Martello (30:45.2) and James Dowd (33:41.8).

Meanwhile, Abagaile Kimbrell was the top women's finisher on the afternoon with a time of 24:09.9 (4th place). Following Kimbrell in order of finish were: Gabriella Mott (26:05.8), Shannon Thompson (26:50.7), Laura Herbes (27:08.5) and Aida Torpey (27:15.5).

The Spartans will next compete at the New Jersey Institute of Technology Highlander Invitational in Newark, NJ on Saturday, October 5th. Events are scheduled to begin at 11am.
