STAC Cross Country Teams Victorious at Bard College/Fred Pavlich Invitational

Annandale-on-Hudson, N.Y. - On Saturday, the St. Thomas Aquinas Cross Country program competed at the Bard College/Fred Pavlich Invitational. Both squads finished first overall among competitors participating in the respective men's and women's races at Annandale-on-Hudson, NY.

Skylar Moreno was the top STAC finisher on the day with a time of 20:51.1, taking victory in the women's 5K race and setting a new course record. Following Moreno in order of finish were: Lesly Marcin (21:18.1/3rd place), Ciara Durcan (21:23.9/4th place), Madison Roth (22:25.8/6th place), Gabriella Mott (23:00.6/8th place), Sophia Echeverria (23:06.4/9th place), Samantha Frisbee (24:11.8/10th place), Nicole Gysin (24:46.0) and Ciara Doyle (28:50.3).

Meanwhile, Andrew Drescher was the top Spartan finisher on the afternoon with a time of 19:22.5, posting a victory in the men's 6K event and setting a new course record himself. Following Drescher in order of finish were: James Hughes (19:39.3/2nd place), James Polisena (20:20.5/7th place), Charlie Moore (20:49.7), Alex Quillan (20:52.2), Jack Terry-Kantor (21:02.8), John Ciuffo (21:05.7), Michael Calafiore (21:13.3), Kieran Keenan (21:38.2), Thomas Bovenberg (21:57.7), Kyle Koenig (22:57.6) and Sebastian Cherry (26:20.4)

Next up for St. Thomas Aquinas, the St. Joseph's University Golden Eagle Invitational on Friday, September 30 at Bethpage State Park in Farmindale, N.Y.

STAC will then host its annual alumni run on Saturday, October 1 at Tallman Mountain State Park in Sparkill, NY.
