On Monday, St. Thomas Aquinas College Cross Country athletes Andrew Drescher and Skylar Moreno were named the East Coast Conference Men's and Women's Cross Country Runners of the Week, following the Spartans latest race at the St. Joseph's University Golden Eagle Invitational.

Drescher continued his outstanding season, earning his third straight conference weekly award, with a sixth place finish in the St. Joseph's University Golden Eagle Invitational, recording a time of 26:53.3. Drescher's finish helped to lead STAC to a second place team finish.

Meanwhile, Moreno continued to excel on the race course with a third place finish in the St. Joseph's University Golden Eagle Invitational, recording a time of 19:38.7. Moreno's finish helped to lead the Spartans to a team victory.

The Spartans next compete at the NJIT Highlander Cross Country Challenge on Saturday, October 8 (11:00 a.m.) at Branch Brook Park in Newark, N.J.
