Zoe Merryman has been named the East Coast Conference Women's Cross Country Rookie of the Week on Monday, following the Spartans latest race, the Bard College/Fred Pavlich Invitational, which took place on Saturday in Annandale-on-Hudson, N.Y.
Merryman (Mahwah, N.J.) was the only Division II runner to finish in the top 45 of the Bard College/Fred Pavlich Invitational, placing eighth in a field of 136 runners. Paced by a 6:12.6 mile average, her 6k PR time of 23:09.4 helped the Spartans finish fifth in a field of 15 programs.
Next up for St. Thomas Aquinas, it's the St. Joseph's University Golden Eagle Invitational on Friday, September 29 at Bethpage State Park in Bethpage, N.Y.
