Rich Smith, Kyran Versteegen, Sarah Ericson and Nicole Gysin were named the Spartan Athletes of the Month for January.

Kyran Versteegen finished with 41 kills and a .211 hitting percentage over seven matches (24 sets) during the month of Janaury. The freshman setter from Sittard, Netherlands added 31 digs, 13 total blocks (2 solo, 14 assisted), 145 assists and six service aces for a stuffed monthly stat line.
In recogition of his supurb play, Kyran Versteegan was named the East Coast Conference Rookie of the Week on January 29.
