Luis Risquez, Emmanuel Mena Jimenez, Syrita Faraj and Zoe Merryman were named the Spartan Athletes of the Month for December.

Syrita Faraj averaged 19.7 points, 11.6 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game in seven contests during the month of December. The senior guard/forward from Troy, N.Y. also had 12 steals and a blocked shot, while shooting 42.6% (52-of-122) from the field, 37.5% (6-of-16) from three and 93.3% (28-of-30) from the foul line.
