Jack Nicholson Appointed SAAC Representative to NCAA Division II Management Council

St. Thomas Aquinas College Men's Soccer Goalkeeper, Jack Nicholson, has been selected as one of Division II National Student-Athlete Advisory Committee's two representative on the NCAA Division II Management Council. Nicholson, who has been the ECC's National SAAC rep since 2017, is the first student-athlete from the conference to be selected for this honor.

Currently comprised of 29 members, including ECC Commissioner, Dr. Robert Dranoff, the NCAA DII Management Council reports directly to the Presidents Council and is charged with recommending administrative policy and regulations that govern the division. The Management Council reviews and acts on recommendations from the Division II committee structure and from Division II representatives to committees with Association-wide functions.

As one of two NCAA SAAC representatives to the Management Council, Nicholson will be required to attend all of the council's meetings and engage in dialog as a unified full voting member with the best interest of DII student-athletes in mind. He will also provide reports on Management Council meetings and relevant issues to SAAC and represent the Management Council and/or SAAC at conventions, meetings, and events hosted by the NCAA and other outside entities.
