The St. Thomas Aquinas golf team is set for The McLaughlin golf tournament hosted by St. John's University on Sept. 17-18 at Bethpage State Park's Red Course in Farmingdale, N.Y. The par-70 Red Course is 6,734 yards.
This year's 15-team field includes Dartmouth, Harvard, Hofstra, Iona, IUPUI, Johnson & Wales, Loyola (Md.), Princeton, Rutgers, Sacred Heart, St. John's, Temple, Villanova and West Florida. The 54-hole event begins with two rounds on Friday, Sept. 17. The first round will have an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start. The tournament will conclude on Saturday, Sept. 18, with final-round tee times starting at 7:30 a.m.
Coastal Carolina won The McLaughlin last year with a team score of 835. Harvard's Greg Shuman, Coastal Carolina's Sam Lyons and Towson's Nyasha Mauchaza tied for the individual title at 208 (-2).
