The St. Thomas Aquinas baseball team lost to Mercy College, 5-3.  Today's game represented senior day for STAC's five seniors; Brian LaMarr, Vin Malzahn, Matt Matcovich, Fernando Peralta and David Schwartz.  Peralta, Matt Marotta and Andrew Ahn all went 2-for-4.  Peralta added a run and an RBI.

STAC took a 2-0 lead in the 4th as Schwartz scored on a sac-fly and Peralta hit an RBI double to score Marotta.  Mercy responded with a run in the top of the 5th and three more in the 6th to take a 4-2 lead.  The Spartans added their third run in the 7th as Peralta scored off an error.  Mercy scored in the 9th to pick up the win.

The Spartans will play Molloy tomorrow at 3:00 p.m. at the Vet.
