The St. Thomas Aquinas baseball team beat Molloy College, 7-2 in today's ECC game.  The Spartans went 3-2 against the Lions for the series.  Freshman Mike Apreda went 3-for-3 with 2 RBI and a run while Matt Marotta went 2-for-3 with 3 RBI's and a run. 

Marotta hit an RBI single followed by a 2 RBI single from  Apreda to put STAC ahead 3-0.  The Spartans added four more runs in the 5th as Matt Smith added an RBI single to score Apreda.  David Schwartz had an RBI sac-fly to score Kevin Ryan.  Marotta added a 2 RBI single to give STAC a 7-0 lead.  Molloy added two runs in the ninth.  Mike Aviles had the win for STAC pitching 6 scoreless innings giving up 3 hits and striking out 3. 

STAC will travel to Mercy College on Friday for a single game and then play their final regular season home game on Saturday at RCC.  Saturday's game will be a double header beginning at 11:00 am.
