The St. Thomas Aquinas baseball team beat Dowling College, 4-0 in both games of the double header today.  Vin Malzahn went 3-for-6 with a run and 2 RBI.  Christian Santo went 2-for-6 with a run and 2 RBI. 

STAC scored 3 runs in the 2nd inning of game one.  Andrew Hancsak led off with a single and score off Santo's triple to right  field.  Frank Salerno hit an RBI single to score Santo and came around to score on a single from Nick Barbalato.  The Spartans added one more run in the 3rd as Malzahn led off with a triple and scored on a sac fly from Hancsak.  Sean Marsiglia held Dowling to just 2 hits, striking out 6 batters in the shutout. 

STAC continued their solid play in game two scoring runs in the 3rd and 4th innings and two more in the 5th.  Santo had an RBI double and Malzahn added a 2 RBI single.  Eric Cooper yielded 2 hits in the win. 

The Spartans will travel to Dowling on Sunday to play game five of the series.
