The St. Thomas Aquinas baseball team is ranked 10th in the Region with a record of 10-9-1 and 4-1 in the ECC. STAC is led by grad student Vin Malzahn who has a team high 20 hits, 10 runs and 9 RBI. Andrew Ahn has added 19 hits, 9 runs and 6 RBI while Nick Barbalato has 17 hits, 10 runs and 6 RBI.
Frank Salerno is currently batting a team high .341 and along with Barbalato they lead STAC wih 10 stolen bases each. Two time Pitcher of the Week, Robert Frank leads STAC on the mound with a 3-0 record and team high 41 strike outs. Mark Fochesato and Nick D'Angelo have each earned two saves for the Spartans.
This is the second time this season that the Spartans have been ranked as they received a #10 ranking the week of March 14th. STAC will play at Conconrdia on Wednesday and they host Caldwell on Thursday at Dutchess County Satdium at 3:30 PM.
