The St. Thomas Aquinas baseball team beat C.W. Post, 3-2 and 6-1 in Saturday's double header.  Mike Walraven hit the go ahead RBI single to score Nick D'Angelo in the 6th.  Mark Fochesato and Eric Cooper went the distance for the Spartans each picking up a win

In game one, Vin Malzahn hit a sac fly to right to score Joe Antenucci who tagged up from third.  Fred Moore added a RBI double, and the Spartans took a 2-0 lead in the 3rd.  The Pioneers put together a 2-run inning in the 6th to tie the game.  In the bottom of the inning, D'Angelo single and went on to steal 2nd and 3rd, setting up the go ahead run.  Fochesato had 7 strike outs in the win, including the final out of the game with a runner in scoring position.

The Spartans fell behind 1-0 in the top of the 5th but were able to regain control quickly with a 2-run bottom of the inning.  STAC used a 4-run 6th to break away from the Pioneers including RBI singles from Malzahn and Joe DePool along with a RBI double from Moore.  Cooper had 4 strike outs in the win.

The Spartans will play at C.W. Post for a double header on Sunday to complete the regular season.
