The St. Thomas Aquinas baseball team lost to Molloy College, 8-7 and 6-2.  In game one, STAC scored 3 runs in the bottom of the 9th but fell short.  Fred Moore went 2-for-5 with 2 RBI and a run while Vin Malzahn went 2-for-5 with an RBI and 2 runs.  Moore added an RBI triple in the 6th for STAC. 

The Spartans scored 3 runs in the 6th, starting with an RBI single from Malzahn.  Moore's hit scored Malzahn and Felipe Campusano grounded out, scoring Moore.  The Spartans added a run in the 8th off an RBI single from Moore to make the score 8-4.  The Spartans put together a strong 9th inning but were unable to close the gap. 

In game two, Christian Santo had an RBI double to score the Spartans first run in the 4th.  STAC added a run in 6th off an RBI sac fly from Mike Apreda but it was not enough to overcome the Lions 6-run inning in the 5th.

STAC will play Mercy College tomorrow afternoon at the Vet beginning at 3:00 p.m.  Tomorrow's game will represent senior day for the Spartans 12 seniors.
