The St. Thomas Aquinas baseball team beat Bridgeport, 8-2.  Vin Malzahn went 3-for-3 with 2 runs and a RBI.  Christian Santo went 1-for-2 including a 3 RBI double.  Robert Frank went 5 innings for STAC giving up 2 hits, 2 runs and striking out 4 batters. 

The Spartans got off to a strong start as Christian Santo hit his 3 RBI double in the 1st inning.  Santo scored Barbalato who singles, Malzahn who doubled and Hanscak who drew a walk to load the bases.  STAC added four more runs in the 4th inning highlighted by RBI singles from Frank Salerno and George Wargo.  Malzahn hit a solo homer in the 6th for the Spartans final run of the game.  Joe Klemowitz and Mike Puka each pitched two scoreless innings for STAC.

The Spartans will play at Bridgeport on Friday at 7:00 p.m.
