Spartans Del Priore Named To 2016 East Regional All-Championship Team

Following the conclusion of the NCAA Division II East Regional Baseball Tournament at Franklin Pierce University in New Hampshire on Monday, the assembled media in attendance selected the All-Championship Team from among the teams and players who participated in the 5-day event.

St. Thomas Aquinas College junior catcher, Deven Del Priore was the lone Spartan selected for the All-Championship Team, representing the designated hitter position. Del Priore went 3 for 12 (.250 batting average), picking up 2 RBIs, scoring 2 runs and walking 4 times in four East Region games played.

On the season, Deven hit .305 (50 for 164) with 2 homers, 31 RBIs and 28 runs scored in 50 games for STAC. He was also walked 20 times by opposing pitchers and swiped seven bases.
