Spartans Dingcong Tabbed NCAA All-Tournament Team Selection

St. Thomas Aquinas College outfielder Giovanni Dingcong was selected to the NCAA Division II National Championship All-Tournament team on Sunday, following the final game of the tournament.

The junior from Daly City, CA, had a .313 batting average, going 5-for-16 during the four Spartan championship tournament contests with 2 home runs, 5 RBIs, 2 runs scored and was walked 3 times. He also had 1 stolen base, an on-base percentage of .421 and slugged .688.

For the 2017 season, Giovanni held a .302 batting average, going 64-for-212 during Spartans 61 games with 20 homers, 52 RBIs, 53 runs scored and was walked 33 times by opposing pitchers. He also had 25 stolen bases in 29 attempts, an on-base percentage of .403 and slugged .604.
