
Stroudsburg, Pa. - The St. Thomas Aquinas College Baseball team opened its three-game weekend series with East Stroudsburg University by dropping both ends of a Friday doubleheader with the Warriors, 8-2 and 5-3 at Creekview Park in the Keystone State.
STAC slips under the .500 mark at 9-11, while ESU improves to 18-3 on the year.
HOW IT HAPPENED - GAME ONE:
Btm 1st Inning - Cameron Hubbard doubled with Shanley Wall scoring. 1-0 ESU
Btm 1st Inning - Parker Frey tripled with Cameron Hubbard coming in to score. 2-0 ESU
Btm 3rd Inning - Tim Haverstick singles, scoring Jack Rothenhausler. 3-0 ESU
Top 5th Inning - Chris Ewing singled through the left side with Michael Zeis advancing to second base and Kyle DeCresce scoring. 3-1 ESU

STAC PERFORMANCES:
- Sean Lynch smacked two hits in six at-bats, including a home run. He also recorded two RBI and a run scored.
- C.J. Cumbo went 2-for-7 on the day, with a home run, RBI and a run scored.
- David Potenza stroked three hits in five at-bats for the Spartans.
- STAC also received hits from Chris Ewing (2-for-6, RBI), Kyle DeCresce (1-for-6, Run), Michael Zeis (1-for-4, Run) and Gregory DiGiaro (1-for-6).
- Andrew Alameda (3-2) took to the mound for STAC in game one on Friday and pitched 4.1 innings, allowing five hits and four runs, while walking four and striking out two.
- Jeremiah Vega and Cole Lindquist came on in relief and gave up four runs on three hits, while walking one and fanning one in 1.2 innings of work.
- John Archer (2-2) got the ball in game two and threw 4.1 innings, allowing five runs on seven hits, while walking three and striking out four Warriors hitters.
- Kyle Rogers came out of the bullpen for STAC and pitched a perfect final 1.2 innings, while K'ing one.

- The Spartans totaled 5 runs on 12 hits, with no errors, while East Stroudsburg earned 13 runs on 15 hits, with no errors.
