
Sparkill, N.Y. - Former St. Thomas Aquinas College Baseball shortstop Andrew Jemison recently had his contract purchased by the Toronto Blue Jays, following brief stints with both the Staten Island Ferry Hawks (2023) and the Lexington Legends (2024) of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball.
Jemison will report to the FCL Blue Jays of the Florida Complex League (Rookie) in Dunedin, Florida.
In 49 total games between Staten Island and Lexington, Jemison hit .253, with nine doubles and seven home runs while also totaling 20 RBI and 25 runs scored.
Over his five seasons (2018-2023) in maroon and gold with the Spartans, the Monroe, N.Y. native amassed a .321 batting average, with 55 doubles, 8 triples and 3 home runs, while driving in 120 runs and scoring another 150.
Andrew's individual awards, honors and accolades were numerous during his five-year career as a Spartan, including:

- ECC First Team All-Conference Selection 2019
Jemison also reached the 200-career hits mark as a Spartan on April 2, 2023.
