
Pomona, N.Y. - After being on the road for the first month of the season, the St. Thomas Aquinas College Baseball team finally opened the home-portion of their schedule on Saturday with a doubleheader against Mercy University at Clover Stadium. The Spartans rolled to a 15-5 victory in game one, before the visiting Mavericks stole game two, 5-4.
STAC moves to 5-15 overall and 2-1 in the ECC, while Mercy goes to 14-12 and 1-2.

- Orin Winslow took the mound for game two and gave up five runs on ten hits over 5.1 innings of work, while walking two and K-ing four. Winslow was charged with loss and falls to 0-4 on the season.
- John Dezago saw action out of the bullpen for the maroon and gold. In 1.2 innings of relief, he allowed no runs, hits or walks and struck out one Mavericks hitter.
