
Myrtle Beach, S.C. - The St. Thomas Aquinas College Baseball team saw its 1-0 second inning lead quickly evaporate via the long ball, as Southern New Hampshire University hit five home runs en route to an 8-1 victory over the maroon and gold on Sunday morning at The Ripken Experience in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
STAC falls to 1-3 on the year, while SNHU improves to 4-1.

Top 3rd Inning: Chris Leone homered to left field, 2 RBI; Ruben Fernandez scored.

Top 5th Inning: Jake Risedorf homered to right-center field, 2 RBI; Jancarlos Colon scored.

STAC PERFORMANCES:
- Kyle DeCresce recorded two hits in four at-bats with a run scored.
- The Spartans also saw hits from C.J. Cumbo (1-4), Chris Ewing (1-4), Brian Klumpp (1-3), Joseph Scamardella (1-3, RBI, Walk), Michael Zeis (1-3) and David Potenza (1-3) in Sunday's South Carolina finale.
- Tom O'Neill got the ball for the Spartans and was charged with three runs on three hits over four innings of work, while walking two and striking out three Penmen hitters. O'Neill was charged with loss and falls to 0-1 on the year.
- Jeremiah Vega, James Kahn, Eliahs Delgado, Ricardo Gonzalez and Nickolas Berasti each saw time out of the bullpen for the maroon and gold. The quintet combined to allow five runs on four hits, with five walks and three Ks.
