Before his college coaching career, Stroud was Youth Academy Director and General Manager for the Bronx Bombers travel baseball program from 2013-2017.  During his tenure with the Bombers he helped over 50 student athletes obtain scholarships to play college baseball, expanded program enrollment to over 200 student athletes, and designed their state of the art indoor training facility. As a coach he led his Bombers teams to 200+ wins and 15 tournament championships.  Before that Stroud worked as Program Director and Head Baseball Instructor for Frozen Ropes in Elmsford, NY.

Stroud has worked with many organizations to help develop student athletes both on and off the field.  His previous work as Director of the Bronx Baseball Dreams Youth Academy helped young athletes use their talents as a lever for entry into college.  He also helped found Beisbol Across Cuba, an organization that collects and distributes baseball equipment to local youth leagues and villages in Cuba, with their first successful donation delivery in 2015.

Stroud began his college baseball career at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, including a season at STAC, before transferring to Purchase College.  There he finished his career and received his Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and Economics. As a four-year starter, he totaled over 200 hits and earned All-Conference and All-Region honors.

Stroud currently resides in Rockland County, N.Y. with his wife Laura.
