Spartans Host Bay Shore High School ESports Team For Campus Visit

On Thursday, students from Bay Shore High School's eSports team visited St. Thomas Aquinas College for tour of campus and a walk through of STAC's new eSports facility.

Members of the team received a guided tour of the college from both Kevin Roth, Director of the Spartan eSports program, and Ryan Gasser, Admissions Counselor and Residence Life Professional at STAC. The tour was highlighted by a visit to our new eSports facility and a group lunch in the St. Thomas Aquinas College McNelis Commons Dining Hall. Bay Shore High School's eSports team is one of the most successful programs in the High School eSports League, having just finished as the National Champions in their Rainbow Six competition, as well as 4th in the summer Overwatch competition.

Director of eSports, Kevin Roth, summed up the day by saying, "It was great to have so many students on campus today who are passionate about eSports, and actively looking to their future collegiate competition. Bay Shore is one of the premier high schools in the area when it comes to eSports, so it was great to begin forming a relationship with them as we continue to build our own program here at St. Thomas Aquinas College."
