The St. Thomas Aquinas College Esports team held their first East Coast Conference League of Legends matchup on Friday, and came up short against the CyBears from New York Institute of Technology, falling 2-0.

 

In the first game of the best of 3 series, the Spartans held off aggressive pushes through the lanes from NYIT before finally succumbing to the CyBears as they infiltrated the Spartan's base and destroyed their nexus. Looking for revenge in the second game, the Spartans took a more aggressive approach and were able to inflict damage on the NYIT squad, but it was not enough, as again NYIT grabbed the second game and the best of 3 series in the process.
